If you like Seafood this is the place!!! We decided to save this place for our last night at Playa, our condo was a short 5 minute walk and we passed this restaurant all week to get back and fro to our place. They have a nice display of giant Lobster tails in the front and a large menu displayed out front to give you a breakdown of menu and prices. I mean : the "SURF AND TURF" Filet with lobster tail was 450 Peso or approx $25.00...that is a decent deal even thought the lobster tail was a bit smaller, but after apps ...it was just fine. My teenage son ordered a larger lobster tail and I think it didn't crack $35 USD. Lobster Bisque was tasty, clam chowder had good flavor but a little running for my liking. The Filet was decent, but would rate it as fantastic. The Lobster tail on the other hand was some of the best I've had. The service was great, we had at least 3 staff work on our table of 8 people and we never had an empty drink. My next visit to Playa - I will 100% make a point to visit this place again.

Last Monday we arrived at Blue Lobster and found a table outside with a great view of the street action. The waiter brought a big blue lobster shaped sign and put it on the chair by us. We pointed to lobster as our choice. Spider Man ran down the street and the two bars across from us were setting up white tables in a slow paced competition as we watched the guitar player getting ready for his gig. The lobster was honestly the best I have ever had. Fresh with butter and garlic and fettuccini with side vegetables that were perfect. Awesome! The stairwell to the upstairs was an interesting twist of blue tile and white stucco. Blue Lobster was one of the best experiences we had in Playa del Carmen. Expensive but worth it. Nothing like it in Houston.

Some of the best lobster that I have ever had. Family really enjoyed this restaurant and the prices are reasonable for the size of lobster tail that you get. Would come back if in the area again.
